Our fleet is an essential part of our business and when an issue occurs...every moment it's out of service can impact our operations. The seasoned mechanic is responsible for keeping that time to a minimum with quality workmanship. With that said, no task is too small as working on Donner Summit means we all pick up a shovel, bump chairs, and pitch in all aspects of resort operations no matter our title or pay grade.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains and repairs all resort equipment, including grooming and snow removal equipment, snowmobiles, and street vehicles.
  • Collaborates and communicates effectively with other departments to assess and prioritize needs.
  • Ensures repairs and maintenance are conducted in accordance with all regulatory and safety requirements.
  • Attends and contributes to operations meetings to gather information on upcoming events, changes, and share pertinent items with the team.
  • Works in all weather conditions and potential for lots of overtime to resolve operation critical issues.

Description:  
The Vehicle Maintenance Mechanic performs routine inspections, repairs and maintenance on vehicles in Monarch’s fleet, to include snowcats, snowmobiles, loaders, passenger vehicles…etc.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Be an effective employee within the guidelines of department and company policies, procedures and values, in fulfillment of Monarch’s mission statement to “provide our guests with a quality, personalized mountain experience.”

Snowcat Field Mechanic (Mountain States Snowcats, WY)


Description:  
We are currently looking for a skilled and self motivated mechanic. This is a year round position working on snowcats in the winter and other heavy equipment in the summer. Service truck and any specialty tools will be provided. Housing may be available for this position. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all Mountain State Snowcats policies and procedures

  • Document work being performed and give a daily update

  • Repair, Service, Recondition on all Mountain States Snowcats equipment as well as established Clientele. 

  • Employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 100lbs and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100lbs. 

  • You will be working inside, outside and in all weather conditions

Maintain efficient performance of equipment and personnel in a cost-effective manner by the proper organization and maintenance of equipment, the training of personnel and the keeping of detailed and accurate records.   • Must have experience in electrical troubleshooting and maintenance techniques. Requires both electrical and mechanical aptitude.
