The SAVMI Vehicle Board voted on February 5, 2002 to establish the Vehicle Maintenance Support Award. This award will be given to an individual who has show exceptional support to ski area technicians.

Follow the criteria below and submit your nomination to the SAVMI Board. The Recipient and Nominees will be honored at the SAVMI Awards Lunch, May 13, 2008.

The Vehicle Maintenance Support Award Winner will be presented with a prize, plaque, and jacket. Prizes will also be given to second and third place.

For consideration of this award, please complete the information requested below and postmark no later than April 4, 2008.

Criteria:

• This award is given to an individual from a SAVMI ski area or supplier member who has shown exceptional support to ski area technicians.
• Examples of qualified nominees include parts personnel, shop clerks, purchasing agents, vendor/supplier reps, supplier mechanics, etc.
• Ski areas or suppliers wishing to nominate a technician support from their own company should submit information on the nominee's abilities concerning Safety Awareness, Ability to Work with Others, and Knowledge of New Technology.

If you are a ski area member and have suggestions for nominees that have been especially helpful to you and are from a supplier company, please call the nominee's supervisor and ask them to nominate them for this award. They would then need to submit the above information in order to nominate the individual

Nominee must submit an essay outlining their work, goals, and extracurricular activities. This essay should not exceed two pages.

Submit an additional letters of recommendation.

Let us know what size of jacket and shirt you wear.

The SAVMI Board of Directors will review all nominees' paperwork and select a recipient for the award.
